My new hairzz
I have worked out 3 of 5 days so far this week; woot! I got up at 5:45 this morning to do it. Go me :)
Also, here is my new hair color:

Gratuitous cleavage shot: you're welcome :P
I always take pics from that angle because A) it makes my cleavage look good, and B) my face doesn't look round and rosy. I had just gotten out of the shower and blow-dried my hair in this pic so I was really hot and my skin was uber-pink. I used a Manic Panic Flash Lightning bleach kit (which is just bleach powder and 30-volume developer as far as I can tell) and then I added 1 packet of Ardell red/gold canceller. It was this purple serum that I just mixed in with the bleach and...30 minutes later, voila! White blonde. No brass (except for a couple inches in the very front that is stubborn as fuck). Punk Rock Marilyn Fucking Monroe Blonde. That is what I officially name this shade. I have obtained purple shampoo and purple conditioner (the kind that old ladies use) to keep the yellow tones out.
I also have some age-old Splat! Lusty Lavendar dye, about 1/2 a bottle, and I'm thinking about pouring some of that into my shampoo and conditioner so I gradually rinse purple into it. We'll see. I used to have almost a full bottle of Blue Envy dye, but I don't know what happened to that. I think I might have thrown it away :( Sadness. Now that I have the nice white "blank canvas" shade, pastel experimentation can commence in a few weeks. YESSSSSSSS. Cotton candy bubble gum cupcake pink, here I come!
I am having MUCHO trouble focusing at work today. I think I'm on a "job security high" because I had an evaluation yesterday that was favorable and I got a raise. Woot! Happy Friday. I will be hanging out in the Twin Cities this weekend with my mom and sister and trying to control my separation anxiety when I have to be away from my fiance and my soft little pain-in-the-butt kitty. She has now figured out how to take the drawers out of my makeup storage unit so that she can use the brushes and sponges as chew toys and "prizes" to carry around the apartment in her mouth. Cute, but sometimes really annoying :) I stepped on her foot this morning and she yowled...but she needs to learn not to weave around people feet and bite the people's feet while we are walking through the house. Not cool. I punish her by cuddling her and calling her "my widdle chinchilla" and forcing her to endure 30 seconds of uncomfortable affection while she tries to flail out of my grasp. Tough love.

That looks cool!
Congrats on the raise.
whoa your hair is awesome! i'm naturally a redhead and i want to dye it the shade of pink you described with blue bangs but would have to bleach it first and i'm scared of messing up lol
@Unstoppable_Inner_Strength - Thanks!
@kuro_knives - Thank-you! Yeah, bleaching at home can be kind of scary. The Manic Panic bleach seemed not to be as harsh as other brands of lightening dyes I've used. The damage isn't as bad as people make it out to be as long as you condition religiously and wait plenty of time between bleachings. The problem I always have is missing spots on the back of my head, but I did miraculously well this time! It takes patience and strategic use of mirrors :)
@hot_metalhead - good to know! i was thinking of using manic panic's cotton candy pink and aftermidnight blue or atomic turquoise. I'd probably make my sister help me, since she wants to go to cosmetology school.
Well you sure look badass. I've always wanted to go white-blonde, but I'm not sure I could pull it off so well.
Congrats on the raise. They can deal with a spacey employee for a minute.
